Bankai
Bankai name: Yūbu no Aragami (勇武の荒神, literally meaning "Tempestuous God of Valour")
Bankai appearance: In its Bankai, Sougyo no Tsukiyomi creates a yellow-colored, translucent and glowing spirit behind Kise. Besides that, Kise's and his Zanpakutou's appearance stays the same, except his eyes, which become red.
Bankai: Yūbu no Aragami creates a yellow-colored, translucent and glowing humanoid spirit behind Kise. Although Kise almost always forms only the upper half of the spirit, legs can be manifested to give it a complete body. The spirit has two ways of moving. The first one is that the spirit copies whatever body part Kise moves with his upper body; for example, should he swing his sword, a gigantic disembodied arm wielding a sword appears and mimics the movement. The second one makes the spirit fight on Kise’s behalf. Even when Kise is motionless, the spirit can be expected to move and attack on its master’s control. The body's gigantic parts generated by this Bankai possess great strength and attacking power proportionate to their size, making Kise's Bankai quite powerful. Yet, these attacks can get even more powerful. By condensing the spirit just on a particular spot, like the edge of his sword, Kise can dramatically increase the power of his cut or attack by narrowing the area of impact. By doing the opposite, it is possible for Kise to widen the area of impact by decreasing the power of his cut. This allows him to fight both in short-range and long-range without much difficulty. While the user usually remains grounded, it is possible for him to freely move around within the spirit’s body, as well as levitate inside of it. The user can allow others to enter the spirit, or leave its body entirely. While Yūbu no Aragami acts as a defense against external attacks, anything coming out of the spirit will simply phase through it.

Bankai Special Abilities: Yūbu no Aragami retains the use of Shikai powers and can be used in the same ways, but in an enhanced form.
Energy Manipulation:
The basic ability to control, manipulate and alter the qualities of energy and spiritual pressure. Ryouta can apply this ability in different manners. He is able amplify/concentrate the energy he possesses, increasing the quantity and amplifying its destructive power. The opposite can also be done, as he can reduce the intensity of incoming reiatsu-based attacks by altering their initial form, thus slowing them down and changing their trajectory while lessening their effects to an extent. He can turn the energy into tools, objects, weapons and other items of varying permanence. He can sense the presence of energy, no matter what type they are (kinetic, chemical, electric, magnetic, radiant, gravitational, thermal etc.), and possibly gain detailed understanding about the energy he is sensing, including the amount and size of it and whether it is hidden. Ryouta can generate different kinds of energies of his choosing, making it an offensive weapon in time of need. For example, he can form a devastating blow by releasing the highly condensed spiritual energy at the tip of the blade, magnifying the slash attack. As a defense, he can create a repulsive force around him and deflect incoming attacks. He can use energy to enhance his movements or even fly, by emitting a burst of energy into the ground that sends them flying into the air.
Tengai Shinsei (天碍震星, literally meaning "Heaven Concealed"):
After the activation, the blade of Sougyo no Tsukiyomi's overall weight (~1.5 kgs) gets amplified by 200 and gets much heavier, to anything but the wielder himself. This technique is actually simpler than the others however the usage of it makes it at least as dangerous as the others if not more. Kise can make normal or weak looking swings that are in fact stronger than those of muscle tanks' with ease and overpower his enemy, without having any problems with carrying his sword. By using it to attack he can increase his offensive power and doing the opposite, blocking, allows him to increase his defensive power. The technique can be activated on long or short terms: It can be used just for a moment or during the whole fight, depending on Kise's decision. The weight of the sword or the limb the spirit uses to attack also gets amplified. Tengai Shinsei can be used with the other techniques. Tengai Shinsei can be used with the other techniques. Using Yarisazame while having Tengai Shinsei active will make the spawned blades weigh more. Using it along with Hotarubi will result in increasing the weight of the blade fragments.
Yarisazame (槍紗雨, literally meaning "Gossamer Rain of Spears"):
The power to create multiple blades from the sword. Kise can use it in a simple fashion, like just swinging his sword and sending multiple blades flying towards his target. Though since he can also control the size and lenght of these blades, there are two main ways he uses it. If he wants to use longer blades, Kise plants the sword to the ground causing many blades to erupt and skewer the enemy from below. The amount and location where they erupt are both indefinite as they both depend on the user’s will. These blades can also be erupted next to each other, in front of or behind Kise and function as a great protective wall/shield. If he wants to use more of these blades, Kise points Sougyo no Tsukiyomi to the air, and moves his sword around himself in a semi-circle as a trail appears in the air from the sword's path. This trail turns into hundreds of blades which rain down upon Kise's opponents, causing massive damage to whatever they hit. The same can be done in a horizontal way as well, where Kise simply moves the sword around himself and sents the blades flying towards his target, without pointing the sword to the air or making the blades rain down. In Bankai, each of the blades are much stronger and are spawned much faster. In addition to Kise's own, the spirit also creates blades and uses it to attack.
Hotarubi (蛍火, literally meaning "Firefly Light"):
Kise's blade separates into tiny, slender greenish fragments, which fly away from the hilt, leaving only the sword's hilt in Kise's hand. By swinging the hilt, Kise can control the flame fragments. These fragments all possess enough cutting power as by swinging the hilt, Kise can control the fragments, allowing him to shred opponents at a distance. They can be used for defensive purposes too, as they can form in a certain area right next to each other and protect Kise from an incoming sword swing. In Bankai, the number of the fragments that can be generated is greatly enhanced, at least thrice Shikai can generate, not to mention them moving faster than before. The sword of the spirit may or may not separate into flame fragments, it depends on Kise's own will. If not seperated, Kise controls the spirit's sword in order to attack along with the flame fragments.
Mugen Tsukiyomi (無限月読 , literally meaning "Infinite Moon Reader"):
This technique condenses each and every single particle of Kise's reiatsu into a single potent sword, that being his Zanpakutou, drastically increasing its force and cutting power even further. First the air gets darker and the spirit behind Kise disappears. Then the blade appears bright white and its aura takes the form of four branches of yellow-colored energy, giving the shape of an "X" from behind him. This manifestation made of concentrated spiritual energy, forms on Kise's back. The blade in this form can cause aggravated injuries in a single blow. However if Kise thinks that he won't reach his target, he can keep the energy around himself, making the technique function as a normal blade until he releases it. Once released, the technique uses all of his spiritual pressure, leaving Kise empty, thus ending the Bankai.

- Hidaruma (火達磨, meaning "Fiery Doll"): After Kise's command the fragments reveal their true nature. Each single one of them explodes and together they create a tremendously large and devastating explosion. Kise can also send them all flying into his target(s) all at once, allowing him to harm opponents at a distance and break through defenses. In Bankai, the intensity of the explosions is greatly enhanced.
